International – Hola! Bienvenido!
WOS established (in 2019) a partnership with TNT Fraternity under the leadership of Erick Minchola, a Peruvian based step team. Erick competed in the 2020 WOS Annual International Virtual Competition and was the only competitor from Peru. Erick’s passion for step has now led him to take charge of bringing step to Peru.
Trujillo is a city in coastal northwestern Peru and the capital of the Department of La Libertad. It is the third most populous city and center of the third most populous metropolitan area of Peru. It is located on the banks of the Moche River, near its mouth at the Pacific Ocean, in the Moche Valley. This was a site of the great prehistoric Moche and Chimu cultures before the Inca conquest and subsequent expansion. Since 2011, the city has been developing the pilot project Trujillo: Sustainable City, as part of the platform “Emerging and Sustainable Cities of the Inter-American Development Bank”, in cooperation with the IDB. In 2012 Trujillo was selected by IBM to participate in a “Smarter Cities Challenge” project intended to improve public safety and transportation through technology.
WOS goal is to create a philanthropic exchange to help ensure that we are always giving back while learning/growing. Since our partnership, we have been working with TNT Fraternity to address concerns in the country and will be launching a campaign of our efforts shortly.
